A Strong Start: 460 Lacrosse Tryouts Set the Tone for Fall

HomeA Strong Start: 460 Lacrosse Tryouts Set the Tone for Fall

This past weekend, 460 Lacrosse kicked off the fall season with our annual tryouts, and the energy on the field was nothing short of incredible. Despite the heat, players battled through every drill and scrimmage with determination, effort, and plenty of smiles. The day was a perfect reflection of what our program is all about: CULTURE, development, and fun.

Effort + Energy = CULTURE

From our youngest players to our high school athletes, the commitment to giving full effort stood out. Players pushed through long reps, encouraged each other, and embraced the challenge of competing for a spot. That’s what CULTURE looks like — accountability, effort, and being great teammates.

Talent on Display

The level of skill and athleticism at tryouts continues to raise the bar for our program. Stickwork, speed, and lacrosse IQ were on full display across all age groups. Our coaching staff was especially impressed by how players applied feedback quickly and showed a willingness to be coached — traits that will serve them well throughout the season.

Development First

While tryouts always bring competition, the real focus is on development. Every rep, every drill, and every game situation is another chance for players to grow. We were proud to see athletes not only competing but also learning, asking questions, and showing curiosity about the game. That’s the foundation of becoming a better player.

Looking Ahead

As invitations go out and rosters take shape, we are excited to get to work. This fall season promises high-paced practices, skill-focused Academy sessions, and tournaments where our players will test themselves against great competition. Most importantly, it promises a journey of growth, teamwork, and fun.

At 460 Lacrosse, tryouts aren’t just about making a team — they’re about building something bigger. With this group of athletes and families, the future looks bright.
