2028's Take Southern Aces
Christiansburg, VA – The 2028 Copperheads kicked off their first tournament of the season with an impressive performance at Southern Aces in Richmond. Despite the absence of a few key players from summer, new additions stepped up and helped the team secure the championship, defeating Top Caliber 4-2 in the final game.
The team was led by a dominant defense, allowing only 11 goals across five games. Goalie standouts Omar Hype and Lucas Maxey delivered exceptional performances between the pipes. Offensively, the Copperheads spread the ball effectively, with midfielder Oscar Barham and attackman Quinn McCahill spearheading the attack.
"This is an incredible group of young men," stated Head Coach Panchito Ojeda. "There was a lot of work needed to come together, and this team gelled quickly, as seen in our competitive edge this past weekend. I’m excited to see us reach new heights."
The Copperheads will be back in action at the Colonial Challenge on November 9-10 in Williamsburg, VA.
